Thank you for downloading and trying List Pad! List Pad is a personal information manager (PIM) which is focused on personal lists. List Pad is great for keeping things like to do lists, shopping lists, itineraries, birthday lists, etc. List Pad can keep track of price information for shopping lists and has advanced alarms for date related lists. List Pad is perfect for those personal lists which are too large for Note Pad or a text file, yet too small for a full blown database.
This read me document contains a few quick notes about the 1.3.2 release and should be read by all users. Please see the included manual for information on using List Pad. Also, please feel free to contact Taylor Design with any questions you might have.

Upgrading to 1.3.2
To upgrade simply replace your old List Pad folder with the new folder. Your preferences, which are stored in the Preferences folder of your System Folder, will automatically be updated and brought into the new version. If the new folder is placed in the location that the old folder used to occupy and you remove the old folder from your hard drive, then aliases and AppleScripts should continue to work as well, pointing to the new version.
What's New in 1.3.2?
Version 1.3.2 fixes a number of bugs. The File Preferences dialog now properly updates the open list when saved. The bug which could cause lost file preferences in 1.3.1 has been fixed. The text fields in the preferences dialogs, which wouldn't always respond to clicks and typing in 1.3.1, have been fixed. And the registration dialog now automatically launches the online order page when that option is clicked.
Requirements
* A Macintosh, or 100% compatible, with a 68020 or higher processor. List Pad is optimized for PowerPC.
* Mac OS 7.x or 8.x or higher.
* A minimum of 2.5 MB of hard disk space for the complete install (including manuals, sample files, etc).
* A minimum of 1.8 MB of free RAM for PowerPC, and 2.2 MB free RAM for 680x0.
Registration
List Pad is not free. When you download List Pad it is limited to demo mode. In demo mode List Pad operates normally for 30 days from the first day you run it. After 30 days it will cease to run except to allow you to enter your registration code.
In the List Pad folder you will find a folder named "Register". Open this folder for instructions on registering List Pad. If this folder is missing, please contact Taylor Design at: support@taylor-design.com
If you are a member of the press and would like a complimentary single user license for review purposes, please E-mail support@taylor-design.com with the appropriate information (i.e. name, organization, contact information for yourself and for confirmation). Once we've confirmed your press status we will register a single user license in the name of your organization and send you a registration code. All we ask is that you send us a copy of the review List Pad appears in when it is published. This offer applies to reviewers for Macintosh User Groups as well.
Last Minute Notes
* When using StuffIt Expander to expand the List Pad archive, make sure that the "Convert text files to Macintosh format:" option under "Cross Platform" preferences is NOT set to "Always". Users have reported that List Pad will not run when it is decompressed with this option set to Always.
* If you use StuffIt SpaceSaver, make sure you are using the latest version. Versions prior to 5.0.1 conflict with List Pad safe save routines, resulting in "file not found" errors.
* RAM Charger Users: Make sure that RAM Charger is set to "Avoid taking all memory." Otherwise RAM Charger may assign List Pad far more RAM than it needs.
Reporting Bugs
Please report all bugs and problems, no matter how minor, to: support@taylor-design.com
When reporting a bug or a crash please report as much information about the problem as possible. Try to fill out the questions in the following check list:
* What type of Macintosh were you using? (Include RAM amount if possible.)
* What version of Mac OS were you using?
* What were you trying to do in List Pad and how did it go wrong?
* If possible, please provide the document you were working on.
* Can you reproduce the problem? If so, can you reproduce it with extensions off?
The more information you provide us with, the more quickly we can isolate and fix the problem.
About Prograph
List Pad was created using Prograph CPX from Pictorius, Inc. Prograph is an object orientated, iconic programming language, and is, in our opinion, the most advanced programming language available. If you're a developer or are interested in learning how to program we would encourage you to check out this advanced language. Free Mac and Windows demos are available from Pictorius, Inc. More information and bookmarks can be found in the About Prograph folder inside the Extras! folder.
